Our Mission
Mission Utah seeks to make disciples of all nations, demonstrating God's grace and teaching them to observe all things Christ commanded. (based on Matthew 28:19-20)
Our Vision
Mission Utah is a planting movement whose goal is to establish and nurture vibrant, healthy churches and RUF ministries that reflect God's power and glory by transforming lives through the Gospel and capturing the Intermountain region for Christ, especially reaching disenfranchised Mormons who are struggling under works-righteouseness.
Christ's kingdom is expanding in Utah; we envision 5 PCA churches in a "destitute region" multiplying to become
- 15 churches ministering to 2,000 souls every week, having an impact on their communities.
- Several RUF ministries reaching numerous students at a key point in their lives, equipping them to carry the message of Christ's love and grace with them into the world.
- An established and active Presbytery.
- A thriving and relational fellowship of churches that supports and nurtures church planting interns, apprentices, evangelists, and campus ministers, providing the optimal environment for planting success.
Mission Utah
- Was created by the Utah Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) churches to increase traction in church planting efforts.
- Is directed by a board of ruling/teaching elders from each of the local PCA congregations with Robby Plemmons acting as Interim Coordinator.
- Is a church planting network engaged in recruiting and resourcing church planters and campus ministers, matching planters to strategic locations, affiliating planters with existing Utah churches, and leadership development.
- Is the catalyst of a multiplication movement in recognizing and engaging positive, emergent evolution.
- Is recognized Mission to North America (MNA) as the sole entity for calling church planters in Utah.
- Is an approved ministry of the Northern California Presbytery, its MNA and RUF committees.
